Just wondering what everyone thought of this years telly and what people liked the most and least.

Maybe I am getting old and grumpy but I found most of it pretty boring with many repeats.

I must admit, i have stopped watching TV completely except for a few shows (TG, F1, Thats about it!) partly for the above reason!

seen a few good fifth gears, though they are probably old anyway.

First time ive noticed them playing movies several times over a few days though. I always used to like watching sinbad or jason and the argonauts, but dont think they were on this year!

My DVD player was my friend this year......
Absolute c**p on TV.
And if you missed the cr** first time, dont worry, It was repeated over and over and over and over................

Nash - 30/12/10 at 08:48 AM

Jason and the Argonauts was on so you missed a treat there I do recall Christmas TV always being a repeat feast. What is new is the fact that not only do we have +1 for a lot of channels but also 1,2,3,4, of the same company ala ITV, Sky etc. which means they have to fill the channels so yet more repeats of the same thing over several days.

I for one now watch most of my stuff off the Sky Plus button having recorded it. I then go do something less boring instead.

They were nearly all repeats on and not alot of anything good. The only thing i really wanted to watch was the Top gear special and i havent had chance to watch that properly yet.

I have a lot of comedy dvd's which are getting a beating this week.

AndyW - 30/12/10 at 10:36 AM

I too found it to be repeats and general rubbish. Dont watch much except Discovery channel and that is turning into repeat channel. A few good films for the kids, the usual Ice age, Mary Poppins, Antz etc etc, we dont buy dvd's so when on telly just V+ them. (Thats virgin speak for sky+)

New years eve is my boys 2nd birthday so wont be watching telly then......

Happy new year to all..........

austin man - 30/12/10 at 10:55 AM

for the cost of the TV licence the programmes haven't been any good. DVD's for me

chesney321 - 30/12/10 at 12:12 PM

cant actually remember when i last watched tv.i prefer to download programs to watch at my leasure.

sonic - 30/12/10 at 12:21 PM

I don't think i have seen anything on this Christmas that isnt a repeat!

What is even more anoying is my six year old watches the childrens channels and now they spend 5 mins inbetween her programmes with adverts for Landlord insurance and injury claims for you etc.

morcus - 30/12/10 at 04:45 PM

It wasn't all bad.

You lot don't know you're born. Over here the TV is the world's worst. I don't even think it's been switched on in our house since before Christmas.

I'd love a bit of rubbish english TV meself

Nothing wrong with rubbish english tv, it's just the only things I saw that haven't been on before are:
The "Little Crackers" thing (which is being repeated new year's eve apparently
The One Ronnie
Top Gear
Cars

Oh and there's Miss Bloody Marple!

You'd think this was prime-time season, they're acting more like it's "Turn the telly off" season
