Boat trip to Kos today. Rather nice yacht moored up in the harbour.

Stood drooling a while, then watched the small boat garage open , and a small boat get plopped in the water.

Contents - Catherine zeta jones, Michael Douglas and children.

Only $345,000 per week to hire.

Wonder how much they give to
Charity

Michael Douglas played one of my all time favourite heroes (in my mind ) in Gordon Gecko.

And Zeta-Jones is simply an angelic image from my childhood when she was in The Darling Buds of May...

Nah... he was better as William Foster (Falling Down).

That film should have been called: 'When Engineers go Mental', watched it at uni while doing my engineering degree and everyone was on his side.

Nice!

Biggest floating insane thing I've ever been close to was Paul Allen (Microsoft) Octopus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octopus_%28yacht%29 The aerial photos are very deceptive. Up close it's the size of a car ferry!

My wife sat her driving test in Bermuda just before Catherine Zeta Jones was due to sit hers, Michael Douglas sat and calmed her nerves prior to going out with her examiner.
Genuinely nice guy and relaxed around everyone on the island

He (they) lives in Mallorca and when I was a Hol-Rep I booked a family on an excursion for a kind-of nature reserve that he owns (he's bought quite a bit of land there just so it remains undeveloped!) And he showed up at the centre and took the guests round instead of the guide... thoroughly nice guy...

Last time I was in Fiskardo with the missus Mr Abramovich turned up in his dinghy which looks like this

His driver wasn't very popular in the harbour because he let out the front anchor then reversed into the harbour, in the process ripping out most of the other noddy ships anchors. Doh!

It's so difficult dealing with the peasants.
