Engine gearbox question
willemv - 26/3/07 at 01:22 PM

Any one tried the 21r toyota Cressida gearbox in a chassis. Can anyone comment on the installation. Is it to big / to heavy.

Will a book chassis tunnel be wide enough.

thanks

A butt ugly jap saloon. Favored for Taxi duties in SE Asia.

But a fairly unbreakeable gearbox

Taking one of those off the road is a mercy killing.

But no where near as ugly as a Cedric or Laurel.

Had rides in Cedric taxis in Japan many years ago, you have to like a car called Cedric. Problem was there was hardly any room in the boot as they were full of gas tank

Cressida gearbox info here.

Probably a Supra W5* if it's a six.
