First Start (With obligatory video)

Well its been along time coming and today, a year after I bought the engine and 10 months after getting the kit my engine started for the first time.

I've had a few fuel troubles over the last week which has seen me seperate all of the carbs and replace the seals but today I refitted them and all is good!

First start is slightly long winded and gets there in the end.

Second start is from a better angle and gets to the point pretty quickly.

I wanted to get the engine going before I booked the SVA so now its time to get the rest finished, panels on and SVA'd. I hope it'll be ready for around March.

Is that the guy off the TV Airport programme holding the "fuel tank"?

Feels good when it starts doesn't it. That grin will reappear every time you think about it for the next week.

I hope he can run fast ,so he can keep the tank in range of your car. Also from the first video it sounds like you might have a bomb in there, i would have a good look around for something ticking if i where you.

Yep, it's Jeremy from airport (Don't ask why I know his name) doing his best Statue of Liberty impersonation.
