cycle wings

hi all,
has anyone had any issues with the cycle wing braket snaping?
it ant happend to me yet,but i did read some where it happens.
is it just mks that have this problem?

It can happen to almost any make - mine's broken 3 or 4 times now! (book Locost).

It's all to do with a weight (the wing) flapping around on the stays and causing fractures.

both of mine on my Mk have snapped recently.
They both snapped on the front flat bar just above the weld on tubular section.
Its a common trait, welded back on and beef up with extra weld.

The MK cycle wing brackets are no more prone to breaking than any other cycle wing bracket,as the metal strip used is 5mm thick,Ive never had one break on either of my Indys,in many thousands of miles,In my opinion the main problem is when fitting them,ensure you
bend them once correctly. If you keep bending unbending them to get them to fit,your end result will be metal fatigue
