MK Indy 1.6 ecotec at Daytuner
Sorry for the lengthy post. Just had to say thanks to you all for the mine of useful information that is LCB. You helped me to resolve my megajolt
teething troubles:
- moving my tacho feed from the PIP line to the EDIS module's CTO (clean tacho out - pin 11) to fix the erratic rpm input reported by the
megajolt configurator
- asking a sub-contract engineering firm (Micron) to mount my trigger wheel accurately on the crank pulley
- replacing the crank sensor that had been gouged as a result by our less-than-centric trigger wheel mount! 
So, target achieved, the Indy was ready for the rolling road. And your suggestions helped again, in the form of Daytuner...
A baseline run showed a max. of 103hp, and a peak 91.5 ft-lbs of torque in a narrow band 1000rpm-wide. The idle was lumpy, it was popping and banging
at idle and on the over-run, and the smell of fuel after a blat was pretty strong to say the least...
The end results? After replacing the mains that appeared to have been drilled out to 155 with some 130s and lots of fettling, we now have an
almost-perfectly-smooth power graph, peak power of 115.7 and 98.94 ft-lbs of peak torque, over a much wider range between 2200-6800 rpm.
The difference in the car was amazing on the way home: much more rangy(sp?). I could decide when I would change gear, not having to do so to keep the
car moving (if that makes sense???) I'll have to control myself, but it could take weeks to lose the smile off my face! 
Thanks to you all for contributing the info in the first place. Thanks to Nat (Nsdev) for advice re. the trigger wheel, to Dan Mason and Marc for
recommending Daytuner, and particularly to Damien Tracey for a job well done. Another satisfied customer.
So summer's here, the car's ready to go, (bar my polybush squeaks) and I need an excuse to use it. Anyone up for a blat around northern
parts, the midlands or wales...?

damien is a top man certainly knows his stuff, very helpful too, glad he has another satisfied customer, im sure there will be plenty more posting on
here 
if your out and about on a saturday drop in to our place we are there 8-30 am till 1-30pm on a saturday coffe machine is always on, and if any later
than that we can be found in the wellington 100 yards down the road enjoying a beer

Marc - a drive through the country lanes to Harrogate... That's an idea: there are worse ways to spend a sunny Saturday morning.
