I'm a Happy Boy

Picked up my first Kit Car today . It is an MK Indy with from what I can tell is a standard 2.0 Pinto engine, and a 5 speed gearbox. I am all really new to the Kit Car scene and have just gleened what info I can from this forum in the last weeks or so.

Managed to pick the car up locally, and is essentially my replacement fun item as I no longer have my Bikes.

I will be asking loads of question no doubt (sorry in advance), and am more than happy to accept help

Took my 2 sons out (seperately of course), and the 12 year old absolutely loved it. Postitive reaction from the public is nice. I thought my 1-series M-sport was quite hard and handled well - but this is a whole new level - as I am sure you all know.

I will enjoy it as is at the moment, but would be interested in releasing a few extra horses pretty soon.

Sorry for going on, but I guess you have all been there before......

I think it says "compomotive" on them. Thanks for the comments guys, think I have found a good'n here . It is not perfect by any means, and pictures can be a little flattering. I wil be posting for help and advice over the next few weeks, to get a couple of things sorted

First thing I may try and sort is the fuel gauge - It has a gauge but is not being used. It seems the wiring is there at the tank, but no sender unit.

Nice looking car, your pot is falling over in the garden! whereabouts in Bedfordshire are you? and come along to the SG7s meet 1st Sunday of the month in Baldock.

Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

I think 2 things amy put me off the BEC route.

1) Would like to keep it a little less hard core.

2) I would not have a clue how to go about it
