wheel bearing - what to tighten it too
not at home at the moment. Anyone know what torque the nut should be wound up to on a sierra back end? when replacing the wheel bearing?

Depends on which type you have fitted ,ball bearing type or taper roller bearings?

Maximill666, it is the taper roller bearing type. any ideas as to the correct torque?

DO NOT torque them up the same as ball bearing types, you'll destroy the bearing. Taper roller bearings require end float clearance to function
correctly.
Tighten them up with the ratchet just enough to ensure the seats are located correctly, then back the nut off until free.
Finally nip the nut back up until it just bites & then back it off quarter of a turn, which should give you the required end float. Job done.
