my winter work.

Hi all,

i have had quite a productive winter considering the limited time i have had to work on the car. the best thing i have achieved is getting the car based in my aunts double garage, (just round the corner) this means when i do go to play with the car i have an endless suply of coffee and always offered dinner, result!
the car is an mk indy, 2.1 pinto, mechanicaly the car was very good, other than the carb, a single downdraught webber jobbie, with the choke removed. this, along with the mechanical fuel pump, made it a PITA to get started and quite hesitant on acceleration.

here are some before pics

removed all the old stuff being replaced, carbs, dizzy, coil, hose's and the exhaust came off for a clean, cleaned the block up, new hoses and sorted out quite a bit of the wiring, then on with a nice set of fireblade carbs, h&h solutions dizzy + coil, and a shiney oil catch can.

anyway enough chat, here are some pics of before and after

car drives so much better now, much more responsive, feels significantly faster, but its off to get rollin roaded in march so well see whats its runnin.

im new to this game but have learnt so much doing this little revamp, this group has been what has made owning the indy such good fun! i am always amazed at the knowledge that lurks on here, a big thankyou to all who have given me help and advice, and sold/given me bits, couldnt have done it without you locostbuilders!

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

why can't I see the photos just a red cross where each photo should be?

I'd really like to see the progress made as everyone else seems mighty impressed with it.
