Shocks mounting

Hello, just started to build an MK Indy and this is probably the first of many questions. Tried to find the answer from previous items but could not find it.

Can anyone help with the following. The shock mounting point at the top of the rear upright is much wider than the width of the shock. Should this gap be filled with a spacer (washers etc.) or should it be left free. Hope this is clear. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Arnie

We used the washers which suit the bolts. balancing out equally until a good fit. I think it says that on our website... maybe it's worth a look

Click on the www button below - you need to be in 'build diary/ october'

What's a lathe? Have I got to build one of those too.

I used washers and now feel terribly inadequate.

In fact, I'd even go as far as to say I'm ashamed.
