MK chassis

has anyone used a mk for a test trial ( autotest) and what engine would be suitable , have a chassis and was thinking of a minilmist build with a 1600 engine

\any suggestions ? ford /toyota/whatever

Looking for a 5.1 crown wheel and pinion for cosworth 7 1/2 in diff s/h or complete unit

Yes - have a look at this guy Autosoloing - bike engined but went really well.
IIRC Autotest needs reverse so maybe car engine/gearbox better?

1600 cvh or zetec mate straight to type nine box can both be run off carbs webbers can be used on both or bike carbs to give low down grunt

I remember this one doing a few of basingstoke motorclubs autotests (both half finished and finished). It has a toyota twincam.

You want something with grunt, torque, well placed gear ratios and a good handbrake!
