for a start it wont have the claimed 180 bhp. 130 whp would be more accurate if set up correctly. for reference my old 2001 R1 was 133 whp

only bid If he can supply all relevant documentation photos of build otherwise it could cause a bit of a headache when getting it through the inspections

or spend £4500 and buy my fireblade BEC, fully road legal, with 18 months left to run before it needs an MOT cos its so new.

Doing a bit of fettling work to make it prettier, and then it'll be on for £5000.

Not up for sale yet really, but keeping an eye out for a buyer.

u2u me if you want details.

Very much doubt a '98 R1 will make 180bhp.
Difficult to be sure from the photo's but... Front indicators look to close to center line to pass IVA. Side repeater position won't pass and if the fog light is placed at the same angle as the reverse one, niether will that. Reflective tape won't pass as reflectors. Can't see a 'cat either so it won't pass the emmision test either if thats the case.

I dont want to wee on anyone chips here, but is that an R1 motor ? dont look like a 1998 R1 motor to me !!

Looks more like an older generation FZR1000 engine, if so can anyone really trust the advert

1998 R1 engine shown below and a FZR1000 engine below that, compare for yourselves

It's not an R1. Zero feedback. Stay away.

The engine cradle is home made not MK and looks like the frame itself was made t fit a car engine not a bike engine.
Dont bother and buy Mr Dangles

Too pricey considering what needs to be done/how it's been built..

question sent!

Hi Dan,
whats involved in fitting the R1 engine? i ask because it seems you currently have a FZR1000 engine fitted in the photos, so i assume it comes supplied with the R1 you mention? is it a straight swap?
cheers
