MK DeDion rear end
Intrested to know what adjustment is available on the de dion rear end of the mk.I have measured the camber and would like to change it.

didnt know that you could alter it other than spacers between the hub carrier and the de-dion

The only method of adjusting the camber and toe will be fitting shims between the hub carrier (Sierra?) and the moutning face of the De Dion axle
itself. I used this method to achieve improvements on my IRS MK Indy by fitting shim washers between the hub carrier and mating face of the rear
upright with the hub carrier bolts passing through the washers.
It takes little measurement and calculation to work out the adjustment required and achievable, but I definitely improved the rear and handling by
removing the inbuilt rear toe out on one side of the car and equalising the overall tor in around the centre line of the car.
Namrick supply shim washers in 0.1mm and up graduations for sensible money.

Nick you explained it a bit better than me. I suppose you could have an angled plate made by an engineer to a pre defined angle and fit this between
carrier and tube would also increase rear wheelbase slightly

Not sure what price those washers are but you can buy shim steel in varying thicknesses relatively cheap.

PS. Remember that it's not just the overall toe / alignment that needs sorting you also need to pay attention to the thrust alignment.

As above, the overall alignment of the axle to the vehicle (Thrust Angle) needs to be checked and corrected if necessary before any measurement and
adjustment to camber and toe settings.
Des Hammil's book on setting up kit car suspension and brakes (published by Veloce) is a really good start point in understanding the process of
car set-up including measurement and adjustment.

Anyone recommend where I can get shims to adjust the camber from or find them on namrick site as I can not find them.

IIRC I gave them a call and ordered them over the phone.
Other option would be to buy some shim steel from tool supplier like Cromwells (nationwide), but that may end up more expensive and certainly less
simple.
