driveshafts
Just came across an article re rear drives in Classic Cars & sports Cars.page 116 re 2009 corvette .Chevy discovered that by fittingdriveshafts of
unequal diameter kills axle tramp!. Maybe worth trying on MK ? Any comments.
Just rebuilt my MK after minor incident with a new Quaife 60g box and flatshift . A dream to use

If you read that thread referred to, the change in axle sizes is to overcome a shortcoming in the dampers, which is intrinsic in the design to give
ride comfort for a big yank tank.
There's a lot more going on than that thread mentions, it would appear. Matching axles don't cause tramp, soft springs and incorrect
dampers do, in conjunction with unsprung weights.
Axle tramp on an irs is best dealt with by using properly specced dampers. It's all in the name, 'DAMPER'.
Cheers,
Nev.
