Fitting aeroscreen to scuttle?? Any photos??
i plan on riveting the aeroscreen to the scuttle but what is the best way to tidy the edge of the aeroscreen where it sits on the scuttle? I was
thinking a bead of sikaflex or similar. Any other suggestions?
Any photos would be appreciated.
Cheers

I'm yet to do mine but I've seen a few that use rubber u-trim around the edge- looks quite smart.

Use a plastic u trim rather than rubber. The one I used had glue in the u so it grips the edge. Then use sikaflex to bond to the scuttle (I would not
use rivets).

So U-trim all the edges? I was going to do that to the curved edges on the interior side where there will be sharp exposed edges. I'll see what
it looks like on all the edges.

mine is just rivited I was going to mask it and silkaflex it befor painting but never bothered, I have also bonded on to a scuttle with fibreglass an
smoothed it in with filler to make it look like a one piece
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

I used a rubber U channel from Seals + Direct.

Here is a picture of mine.
Use a heat gun when fitting the trim to get a good fit.
