Hi Bob,
I've done mine using tube from Martin, although some people might tell me I dont know what I'm doing, again!
I used a Fiesta lower joint instead of the rubber sierra one, this means you have to find some hexagonal bar to fit into the top of the joint and turn one end on the lathe
in order to fit it into the tube.
Much simpler to fit a sierra one though!and fit a tube straight on,its up to you .
Apologies to anyone to whom I've sent Bugbear to,AVG did not pick it up until I updated .
Thats the reason I didn't reply to your e-mail Bob, until I was sure I was clean.Feel like I've had the POX! UNCLEAN!......UNCLEAN!

Thanks Dean
I've got the sierra joints both ends,i'll just get some tube and join em.

Yeah,i think we've all had the pox on here.
Although i missed the last bout cos i've deleted my e-mail from the site.

What exactly is the 'lower steering shaft'? Is it the bit between the upper half of the column and the steering rack? I thought the sierra one just fitted on?

Cheers

Mr Thicky donut!

Yep thats the area i'm on about and yes the sierra bits do fit on both pieces, but.
There is a gap of several inches,so a tube has to be inserted

So where exactly does the tube have to be inserted? I asume it has to be welded?

Yeah, Martin told me to bring mine along when I collected my kit and he modded it whilst I waited.

Bob

Martin is going to weld mine before the kit gets delivered so that's that problem sorted

One thing, if you're welding your own, use seamless tube. SVA bloke don't like ERW for steering linkages. (or paint it so you can't tell and bullshit SVA bloke, which is NOT what we did)
