Blade Exhaust again!!

Well, after cutting a piece off both the manifold and the small joining piece in the middle I am now in the unenvious position of having an exhaust that doesn't fit as I think I cut a bit too much off the manifold (40mm)!!

So now I have a problem, so looking for ideas really on how to fix it. I was thinking of just getting another small joining piece but it's difficult working out where the slight bend needs to be and what the bend angle is.

Other option is to wait until it's all done, fit the manifold and silencer exactly where I want it and then trailer it to a custom exhaust place and get them to make a pipe to connect the two ends, which I guess shouldn't be a problem for them.

Any other ideas\options greatly appreciated!

As a side issue does anyone know why MK don't just make it the right size as it seems stupid to me as they must know that the silencer doesn't fit without cutting bits!!

Rich.

The way we did it was to space the angle of the exhaust equally on the angle around the chassis. This meant cutting the extension where we did to achieve an even fit around the body panels.

The one MK supplies, is not specifically manufactured for MK's.

personaly i'd go for the 2nd option to save totally buggering a so not cheap exhaust system!

in deffence of MK not sure if it's still the same but i know at the time i bought my exhaust off them they were made by a different company. maybe a call to mk would have been a bit less painfull at the start of fitting the system?

I've calmed down a bit now!!

I think a local exhaust plce should be able to just make up a slightly longer joining bit so hopefully be ok.

Just about to do mine Rich the same before I read this so I don't think I'll cut as much off mine and have a re-think before I pick up the hack saw!

Regards, Mark.
