Master cylinder position

I've just read some gubbins on TOL about problems associated with locating the brake master cylinder too low on the bulk head when using floor mounted pedals. I was told by MK that the measurement for the hole in the bulkhead for the master cylinder to fit through was 65mm. I have installed my m/c accordingly. As I am in Lisbon at the moment I cant take any dims of my installation so can anyone confirm if this is correct cos I dont want to faff about trying to install a remote fluid reservoir as was suggested on TOL.

I have no idea on dimensions, but IMO if you look at getting to operate the full travel of the master cylinder, from the brake pedal at rest to where it can travel no further, you wont be far away. With the pushrod too high up from the pedal pivot, and you loose leverage, too low and you cant get the full travel of the M/Cyl.

Dont just build it.....make it!
