MK makes it big!

I've just had a look at the TotalKitCar site... they've listed the top British-owned vehicle manufacturers, and MK Sportscars is number 7!

clicky

(scroll down the page a bit...)

Not bad, eh?!

David

Do Robin Hood export?
Did they ask Robin Hood for the figures per chance - I doubt they got D&B reports on all companies + with sites like this (I'm pleased to note) opening people's eyes to what is out there, and is good (and not so!)

TVR?

Does that list show turn-key cars or what?

Note that our figures don’t show Lotus (Malaysian-owned) or TVR Engineering (Russian-owned) or any other foreign-owned British-based manufacturer

It says they ignore TVR and Lotus because they are foreign owned. As The russian who owns TVR spends at least half his time living in the UK that may be a bit unfair on 50 year old UK based manufacturer who make their own engines which were designed in the UK by a Brit along with all the other bits which are made in Blackpool.

If you factor that in, surely a Robin Hood, Westfield, MK etc. cannot count as British with all the Ford parts they use, and Morgan use either BMW or Ford engines.

Someone is not counting fairly!!

TVR are owned by Roman Abramovich, also owner of Chelsea. My mate works at prodrive and they have his personal Sagaris at the moment for some sort of emissions check.

Good on Mk though!

Although it does mean mine wont be so rare!

Not quite - Nicolas Smolenski is a Russian, he owns TVR, but not Chelsea.

Sorry for the poor information!
