Indyblade. Fan overide switch needed?

Hopefully the header says it?
Just before I completly wrap the loom, do any of you with Fireblade engines and the MK supplied radiator find that you need to use (if you have one) an overide for the thermostat?
If so when?
I'm a bit confused as to why I might need one. Surely if the thermoswitch is working properly then if its hot the fan runs, if its not it doesnt and thats enough?
Cheers
Colin

Some do and some don't Colin, I was going to fit one but decided to see how it goes, at the moment the fan cuts in at about 97deg and seems to work fine.

I figured why complicate things unless it proves a problem!

Not 'blade related but I've wired in an override and taped it up - just in case it needs it all I need to do is put a switch to earth and away she goes!

That way I don't have to go re-wiring!
