Gearbox ratios

Hello, does anybody know if it is possible to get a longer first gear, or if i will not need one I am using the standard sierra box type 9 ? I've heard that there are different diffs not including lsd diffs thats for later, what is the best way of telling them apart and which one is best for acceleration?

look on the doners VIN plate, second box up on the left (I think?!), it says axle on it anyway.

Ratio Code
3.14 M
3.36 A
3.38 U
3.62 V
3.64 3
3.92 D

The higher the ratio, the best acceleration, worst fuel economy and most uncomfortable cruiser and vice versa.

I have a speed calculator for excel with type 9, MT75 and SD1 info on it, it also has tyre diameters for most common sizes.

If you want a copy, email me and I will atttach it by return
