Indy Xflow questions
I am in the process of fitting a crossflow engine to my Indy chassis and have a couple of questions can anyone help
When the engine and box are centralised the oil pump assembly appears to be very close to the steering column is this ok ??
MK doesn't do xflow mounts anymore does anyone know of an alternative that will fit or do I have to make my own ??

In Westies and Locosts the engine is situated about 20mm off centre to the passengers side( to give a straight line to the prop) I see no reason why
you can't do it in an Indy. Many engines are fitted off centr to help with clearance problems. Look at any BEC and you'll see just how much you are
able to get away with.
The MK pinto mounts are very similar to my x-flow mounts. They are very easy to make. Position your engine in the chassis and draw a line between the
centre of the mounting holes on the engine and the place on the chassis where you are putting the mounts. use a flat sq plate on each end and join the
two with a piece of 40x40 box. I used fiesta gearbox mounts for the rubbers (same as MK).
