Throughly Noddy-esque question froma newbie
This will sound utterly bone to anybody who knows but, do I use the Ron Champion book as my build manual for the MK, do they sell plans or do I make
it up as I go along? As I am intending to use a 16 valve Citroen engine I will have a certain amount of self-sorting to do but It would be nice if
there were some instructions for the rest?

Manual???
I think a manual of sorts is available with your kit from mk, but i didnt get one and managed ok.

The manual you get is very basic. I'm thinking of buying the westfield manual just to get a idea of how things are run.
You thinking of putting the VTS engine in one?

Close but not quite. I am aiming a little older, with a 16v XU from a BX. 160-167bhp (depending upon whom you believe!) at around 7500rpm and all
alloy contruction, perfect for a Seven! I got one when I bought a complete car for £150 along with the wiring loom, ECU and anything else I thought
might be useful. The other I got from a scrappy next door to work for £75 after I spotted it over the fence and legged it round there before it got
crushed. My theory is to give one a minimal tart-up and get it installed and running and then spend some serious dosh on getting the other one fettled
(ported, throttle bodies, aftermarket ECU, lightened and balanced internals etc). I've got to save up for the kit first though!
