Do mean old Pinto job or later DOHC style engine?

Pinto for sure OK with MT75 and 95% sure DOHC engine OK.

Pinto engine is a good low cost option. I would steer clear of the later engine not just because it is thought to be less reliable but there are better options which cost less or the same. The RS2000 Escort engine is heavier than a zetec and I suspect no more powerful like for like. Also spares are nowhere near as easily available, and very few tuning parts, if any, are made for the engine. Where as the Pinto and Zetec have been very well catered for over the years.
