self cancel indicator
Hi
As mentioned in previous post i've just fitted the steering column and thought I'd test the self cancel indicator function.
with the indicator stalk set to either left or right indicate i can hear the small cam lug clicking as it passes the peg that sticks out but the
indicator stalk doesn't revert to the off position.
The car is up on wheels and I've checked that the self cancel cam lug is in the notch on the rear of the wheel, is power needed for the self
cancel indicator function to work.
Just would like peace of mind that I've assembled everything correctly.
Thanks

No!
Purely mechanical. Binned mine as using non Ford stalk (which I'm gonna replace anyway!).

Mine doesn't self-cancel so effectively since switching from the SVA compatible Sierra wheel to my OMP one.
What wheel/boss you using?
Cheers,
James

Can you not get a timer type to go on the dash? "I remember when I was a lad" seeing these on some of the older cars.
I had been thinking of trying to track one down as I get fed up with leaving the indicator on!

I fitted a buzzer to mine so it annoys me and I can't wait to switch it off
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
