front brake pipes
just had a quick read of the which kits MK Indy build always thought there must be a way of avoiding the flexy pipe hitting the wishbones wonder what
car he pinched the idea from don't care really but if you can bend that fiddly pipi for the back you should be able to do the front.curious to
know if any-ones seen that idea before

Cortinas used a short piece of rigid pipe and a bracket to take the flexi to the centre of the pivot so it doesn't contact anything. Mines not
an Indy but I used a sleeve around the flexible pipe where it is likely to make contact, a rubber pipe that fits over the brake pipe.

I've mentioned this before,but everyone seemed to think you could go straight into the caliper.

I tried using the cortina bracket, but it made thing worse! The pipes rubbed on everything!
Do you have any pictures of how your front flexies are routed?

I put mine straight into the cylinder and used a piece of rubber pipe round it. I can't add an attachment to this message so I'll put it
in my photo section for you. You can see the bracket on the chassis below the top wishbone. Hope it helps.

Is there any reason not to zip-tie it to the bottom wishbone in the middle? Post SVA of course....
Cos this is what I've done with mine and it seems fine.

Has anyone tried a short flexie from the caliper pipe to the wishbone, a short length of copper pipe fixed to the wishbone and anothe short flexie
from the wishbone fixed pipe to the car?
It would eliminate the fouling problem and probably look neater
Anyone see any problems with this?

Cheers Peteff, not sure if it helps me though!
I think 'll use a couple of sky hooks to attach the flexy in the middle. They're cheap in Yorkshire.

does the SVA inspector frown on flexies attached to wishbones? even if i were to make up a decent support for the brake hose?

on one lock it would tend to kink in the other it would tend to stretch I think it would be as bad as the item I read about a builder (not an MK by
the way) who had tie wrapped the petrol pipes and brake lines to of all things The PROPSHAFT but fortunately it went to a company who specialize in
infinished projects

there might be a problem with that
copper pipe and the sierra calipers
the fact that the sierra calipers move
on sliders so the copper pipe would flex
