attaching the nose cone
Afternoon all
I've tried a few searches but not found what I'm after.
How is the nose cone on the Indy attached to the car. I see that the bonnet goes over the rear lip but what holds the rest to the front of the car?
Any description/links to photos much appreciated
Cheers for the help

Mines, hinged at the front via two hinges. Rivenuts to chassis, with bolts to hold hinges on and hinges bolted to the GRP. To keep the thing down, two
bolts are rivenutted to the chassis top rails at the back of the nose cone..
Have a look at Hellfires site I think he has a pic..

People have used a variety of methods - I used some hinges at the front and two bolts into rivnuts in the top of the chassis just inside the
nosecone.
Others have used Dzus fasteners and the like.
There is no right way or wrong way really.
Cheers

I just used 2 bolts on the top chassis rail just inside the nose.
I also had to cut a bit of the bottom away to fit around the front bolts on the bottom wishbones. When you fit the nose cone you have to slot the
bolts into the gap, so when the top bolts are done up the nose cone doesnt move.
