Anyone got 7 Inches?
Has anyone fitted 7" wheels on their Indy with either 195 or 205 width tyres? I phoned MK yesterday and they said that i might have trouble with
7" wide.
They said it could catch the chassis or wheel arch. They wheel arch could be sorted by changing the offset i guess, but this would only cause more
problems with the chassis
Thanks
Chris

I've been told by more than a handfull of people that wide is not good on these little cars, something to do with weight surface area and
traction.
I'm using 195's and they just fit the MK arches nice,i was recomended by others that this is as wide as i should go.

7" Rims
HI,
I have 7" x15" rims on my Indy with 195/50 tyres. You need to be careful with offset otherwise the wheel/tyre may protrude beyond the
rear wheelarch.
I have an offset of 45mm on my wheels (Team Dynamics ProSports) You might be able to get away with 40mm - this is the min offset that is possible. 195
is about as big as you can go on the front as you get awfully close to the cycle wing support. At the rear you can easily put 205 if you wish
Hope that helps

What offset are you using? And what width wheels?

i'v been told ford focus offset, which is et38mm I understand... though i think the focus rims are 6 or 6.5" so et45 for 7" rims
sounds right.
