Hoe close can the monifold get to the chassis?
Just put on my DIY exhaust manifold for my turbo CBR1000F upgrade. But its touching the chassis JUST. would this b a problem?
Sorry about my spelling, im an engineer and only work in numbers.

i would tend to say half an inch minimum gap... is the engine mounted direct to to chassis, or on rubber mounts?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

My Viento has about 3mm clearance on one of the manifold and you can hear it clattering on the bodywork whilst driving... (the engine is on rubber
mounts).
Needless to say, next job is sort that!

As mark says. It will rattle. Even solid mounted if its touching now it'l rattle.
Iv got about 5mm between my gearbox near the starter and the chassis. If i give it welly it taps the chassis.
You want about half inch ideally.
