Polo rads are the most popular because they are cheap, plentiful and compact.
It cools my 2.5L V6 ok too

I'm using a Polo rad on a supercharged 1.6 engine. I've got a large intercooler in front of the rad and so far its all working nicely. I've not had a really hot day yet to test the fan yet though.
