rear tyre width

thinking of putting wider tyres on the rear and was wondering if any one has done this and what is the maximum width will be running 7 x 15 rims with some toyo 888 finances and the missus permiting just a thought i had today also be gettiing shut of some team dynamics 16 rims in the not to distant absolutly mint with really good tyres cheers rob

I'd have thought 7" about as wide as you want to go.

Halfords, apparently, are doing 15" wheels for £200 at the mo.

Unless you got mega horsepower, I reckon anything bigger than 205's will be a waste of rubber and cash. 195's seem the norm on 15" rims.

Rim width and tyre size should be in aligment with weight distribution suggest
185 fronts
195 rear
