indy nose cone fixings

I had a trial fitting of my nose cone tonight...is it fixed onto the toprail through the inside lip or is there another way to fix it... there doesnt seem to be much of the fibreglass inside lip that hits the top chassis rail..it seems not to return iinwards towards the centre of the car enough to get enough fixings in it
cheers
colin

I found the same problem so i extended the flange by laying up a bit more fibre glass. The bottom of the nose cone will be fitted the bottom cross member.

Have a look at the August page on my site

I've got some small tension latches holding the top of the nosecone and Dzus fasteners on the bottom, some dont fix the top though as the bonnet holds it down anyway.
