Hill Climbing?
Hi.
This looks like an ideal pass time for all LSIS owners. SPEED HILL CLIMBING!
The challenge of Speed Hill climbing is to drive the course in the shortest possible time. The faster drivers are those who can get the car off the
start quickly, the first 64 feet often takes as little as two seconds, and then find the quickest and smoothest lines through each corner.
Cars are grouped in to classes at each event. Depending on what type of car e.g. saloon, Kit Car, race car etc, what modifications have been made (if
any), the tyres used and the engine size, these points will dictate which class you should enter.
To enter any recognised motor sport event you will need an MSA (Motor Sports Association) licence. There are a number of different licence types. For
most sprints and hill climbs you only need a National B licence (Non-Race is fine). This costs around £34 a year.
You can download a licence application form and other details at www.msauk.org
Let me know if any of you guys have had a go.
Regards Grant.

I'm desperately searching for the irony in these RANDOM posts, but as yet it evades me.
WHY?

Let me save you some time for your next post......
Circuit Racing
This is where lots of boys and girls buy, or if they're really clever actually build their own, racing cars - do you know what racing cars are?
they're cars that cost quite a lot of money but go really fast around something called a race track. Anyway once all these boys and girls get
their cars they all go to this race track but they need something called a license before they can race against each other..........
and I'd end with....... has anyone tried this let me know.........

you were so close with this one - the only thing you did wrong was to forget amend your avatar and your footer to advertise your company selling lots
of race items...

Anyone tried beer? It's watery wet stuff that tastes like a beery alcoholic drink and it is often served in glass beakers from a long counter
called a 'bar'. You have to be over 14 to drink beer. It can make ugly girls appear very attractive in much the same way as it can make
the drinker think they themselves are very attractive. Exercise extreme caution as it can make your tongue swell up to four times its normal size when
talking to these 'attractive' girls. It makes some people fight and others, sleepy.
Anyone tried it?

Oh yes now that's revolutionary - I'm going to go and find some of that

Now, you'll have to explain this one. Is it men dressed in women's clothing running as fast as they can?

an honest guide to the art of hillclimbing.
1:buy or make suitable car = money
2: spend more money making it go faster = loads of money
3:buy a trailer to carry the car = money
4:spend loads of money on nice racewear = money and helmet.
5:buy licence = money
6:join motorsports club = money
7:wake up early for first event, load car onto trailer without waking family or neighbours
8:drive for two hours in dark
9:arrive at event cold and tired, buy a coffee and bacon sandwich
10:go for practice
11:look at practice times, you thought you were driving the nuts off the car but you are 5 seconds off the quickest car in your class
12:sit around for a bit
13: lunch buy a burger or not if you are concerned about adding weight to the car!!!
14:timed runs in the afternoon, you are getting uicker every lap but so is the competition
15:pack up and say to yourself "if only there were two more runs i would have got first in class"
16:drive home with a big smile on your face
17:arrive home knackered and in the dark, unload car from trailer and get a beer
18: add up how much you have spent on the day??????
19:make excuses why you came 4th in class to your mates / wife / girlfriend / family
20:sleep soundly in your bed knowing that one day you will be good enough for F1
good night

That is exactly true for any kind of racing. Depressingly so, actually, except the F1 part.

Hi while we are on the theme of laying out the basics of life. Maybe someone should explain to Grant how to build a pedalbox thats actually worth
fitting and how to run a company without leaving many people out of pocket.

I'm really glad you've posted that, Matt, as I was thinking about recommending a pedalbox of his to womeone else, but I had no experience
of it, and would of hated to advise someone to buy a poor product!
Cheers,
Steve

I did not want to get dragged into this immature vendetta from Matt at Procomp. However what he is saying is totally miss-informed and incorrect.
I could attack Matt back, but that is not professional. Instead I will let some our customers do the talking.
