aerodynamics and roll cage
two questions really, firstly what can be done to improve mk indy 's aerodynamics and the second one is if a westfield roll cage will fit an MK
Indy?

1) don't bother
2) unlikely
Okay, the first is a bit mean....
To improve the drag coefficient of a Indy you'ld need to clothe it in a Fury of Phoenix type body...
You'ld be better off starting off with a Fury of Phoenix in the first place!!!!!

Remove the glass airbrake if its fitted - also known as the windscreen. Beyond that - maybe look at fitting a flat floor but gains are small whatever
you do beyond removing the screen

If improving aerodynamics, do the front first. If the front is wrong the back won't do much. Wrap around wheel arches will reduce drag a bit,
particularly if the have the little spoiler thing on the back like the mew caterham

I replaced the standard issue massive number plate and replaced it with a 10" x 3" one sourced from myshowplates.com. Also removed the
passenger side wing mirror as I couldn't see it anyway. Fitted a Mac#1 aeroscreen rather than a full windscreen.
Other than that there's little you can do -certainly without spending plenty more cash.
Maybe more effective trying to lose some weight or increase the power (more power's always good).

Improving the aerodynamics of a 7 and then fitting a full rollcage seem like diametrically opposite actions

For more opinions than you can shake a stick at on Aerodynamics and the 7 see

On the roll cage. Why not get MK Engineering (not MK Sportscars) to make one to your specifications.
His old website doesn't seem to work, but contact details are here

Thanks for all the replies!!
I dont have a windscreen I have an aeroscreen. The roll cage is mandatory because my MK indy is used only for trackdays. The main problem is that my
car is in Greece so to order a roll cage from uk and ship it to Greece will cost a fortune. If the westfield one fits will be much easier to get
because we have a westfield dealer in Greece.
I wont bother then for aerodynamics the best thing is to loose some weight. The problem is that I can not loose any more weight from the car it has to
be lost from me. I weight 95 kilos so that is a lot! I have to start diet but it is xmass....

Get one welded at a local rollcage builder.

Probably crazy but what about fitting one of the 'pop up' roll-over bars from a cabriolet?
Never know... it might work!
Cheers,
James

I do have a roll bar on.I think the best way is to fabricate a roll cage in Greece. They asking for 1000 euros for a decent one and that about the
same here 1000euro= 650GBP
