indy with vaux c20x - value?
hi
just needed a bit of advice. Was originally after a bec but ive just been offered a indy fitted with c20x and omega gearbox. Cluth is gone and the guy
thinks the flywheel will need changing. registered 2006 in rizla blue. And Any idea on rough value? Anyone know this car..
Also what are these engines like?

i thinke you will find that is the c20xe out of the old astra gte never had one but from what i heard they are better than the eco tec engine and was
fast in that astra so should be fun in mk

heavy but damned fast. standard engine with decent exhaust and induction should be 180+bhp.
Heavy = around pinto territory.
Speak to Ned or NSDev - both have them and both know a thing or two about them (NSDev raced one for a number of years)

if its a 2.0xe then non cat if a C20XE then cat engine i.e fixed dizzy. Still a damn good lump, check head for signs of being pourous other than that

Thanks for the advice.
Think im going to give it a miss, was looking for a bit more power to weight.

Sprinted a GTE Astra for several years, the engine was absolutely brilliant, replaced the car with a MR2 (4age), the engine was crap and lasted just
two meetings.
Would recommend the Vauxhall engine everytime. As for value, one in good nick, I would suggest, would be worth in the region of £6 to £7k but less
with a worn clutch.
