exhaust bike can
hi all me again asking silly questions i have an indy that i have put a 1750cc x flow engine in it i have sourced a manifold off of ebay that came
off of a sylvia stryker and modified that to fit ,
but still neen back box i dond seem to be able to find any appart from direct of mk
can you run a moter bike can on my engine if so would that be sva ok many thanks ian

i run an R1 can on a 2.0l zetec no problems

Heres 3 silencers off e/bay or as you say theres all ways a bike can but go for something like an r1 etc

A bike can should work OK. If it's a crossflow you shouldn't need a cat
I've got a carbon R1 can on my 1.4 K series. I fitted it post-SVA. if you were to use the same, apart from probably having to get a reducer to
connect up with the existing pipework you will need to get/make an SVA-friendly end pipe.

R1 can on the forum a few days ago. Not mine but i am helping Ben build his car so not strictly NTDWM

Bear in mind that R1 cans are quite restrictive - it was definately noticable when I removed mine form my x-flow car and swapped it for a straight
through can. There's a reason that there are so many on eBay - the bikes gain about 10bhp when they swap the can for a race one.
My new car has an R1 can, but I cut the end off and removed the baffle tubes and replaced them with a straight through perforated tube surrounded with
wire wool and fibreglass wadding. It's a bit noisier, but lets the engine breathe much better. It's a fairly easy operation - only took me
an hour or so.
