Assuming you are in the UK and given the poor prices cars are fetching, i'd have to ask is it really worth building a new car at the moment if you are happy with the existing one??

If you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket then surely better to upgrade your current car over the coming winter (so you have 9 months or so!!) - or you could just give it all to me!!

im weighing up that same question.

Im looking to start mine next year but i think il go for the R, AFAIK its not just the front suspension thats new, its a wholy redesigned chassis. i would imagine the inital extra cost would be offset by a future higher value.

maybe i should wait, but my father wants to come on track days with me, so he's going to keep the mk, and i'm going to buy a new one (may consider selling my elise, don't use it!)
9 months to do what?!? i use my car when it's raining on track, so no probleme with winter!
i also think price for build cars could be more attractive during winter...

ps; money sent, check your wallet!

Gotcha

If building again and you do a lot of trackdays then the £700 or so extra for the Indy R would be worthwhile then (or as you say - the MNR RT+) Well worth going to have a good look at the factory as mentioned - i do really like the MNR and i believe Marc N can drive a little bit too

9 months was tongue in cheek for the length of the UK winter

Generally spring is considered the best time to sell, as soon as a bit of nice weather encourages people to start wanting an open top car. Got a feeling though that its not going to be so good next spring for selling!!

If it'll fit in my wallet then its not likely to be enough to build my car. Please send more to my account - i'll have a look online later.

I would say more like 11 months and a few days for a UK winter...at least this year it has...

I've got my 'R' coming this Thursday so if you want me to take some pictures and bring them down to you (all expenses paid) then just let me know.

I don't know what the earlier ones look like though, so I can't compare them for you.

Can't you compare the two from the build manuals?
