Trackdays

Anyone booked any trackdays for this year? I've been searching the net and there does'nt seem to be a huge number of "open" events. Is it that clubs tend to book circuits for members? I was look at Brands and considering they are open most days the number of events offered seemed few and far between.

I got an email from Evo magazine, they do halfdays at proper circuits for £70 including tuition, they look pretty good for a first trackday, but depends what you are looking for. i have deleted the email now, but im sure u could find a link from their website.

if its not to far to travel then Donnington do some great deals this time of year, deal with them direct, there will be some nice stuff there too as a lot of racers take advantage of them and do some testing, (i know you cant time on track days) (but they all do) (trust me every time i go i never need my timing beacon cos some one allways as one on)

i have number some where if u want it

Thanks for the info. I think I may have to invest in a trailer, don't fancy 200 mile round trip and a day on the track. I've concerns about noise levels any advice? Any ideas where i can get it checked?

usualy around 98db max, unless you pay a kings ransom and book an un-silenced day,

I have a noise meter, to far for you but if anyone local ever wants a check.........just ask.

Most places are very keen on noise too, locals, planning permision ect.....so dont risk it, find out 1st

I went to Castle Combe on Saturday with BookATrack. Their limit was 100dB, which my indy just scraped through. Most tracks I've looked at seem to be slightly less strict than that for track days.

My advice if you go with BookATrack is to book early - they put the price up as you get nearer the day! (Something I found out to my cost).
