Pinto sump
I know the RS2000 sump is an alternative to give better ground clearance, are there any other options without chopping the original?

Ummm not many. You can have a hump in the bonnet, but thats a preference i suppose! Remember the oil filler cap on the rocker cover is usually too
high to fit under a normal bonnet too! So you might want to chop that about too (usually moved to the rear of the cover)
MK Engineering will chop your sump for you for not much money, £65, if you dont want to do it yourself.
Remember its better to have the engine as low as poss to get the centre of gravity as low as possible (but make sure your sump has plenty of
clearance)
Cheers
PS shouldnt you have posted this in the engine section LOL

Should have been more precise. What I meant was; are there any alternative sumps? I know the pinto one can be chopped but I'm keeping that as
last resort.

option 2.. dry sump... option 3 stock car cars that run pintos and use there own type of sump very strong can't remeber the price over £120 the
option i have gone for is the rs2000 alloy sump which is good but still hangs a bit below the chassis looks good though

Blimey!
And I did Conrod's for him for a manky pair of Sierra callipers!
Took me bloody ages too with all the gunk he'd slapped around it to try and seal his sieve-like job!

Pinto sump
End of story. I splashed out on an RS2000 alloy job for the price that MK would charge for modifying mine. Found it on www.partsgateway.co.uk - great
service

Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Sounds like Conrod's roll-over bar.
Rotherham to Bristol
Bristol to Box Hill
Box Hill to Guildford
Guilford to West London
West London to Rotherham
Rotherham to West London
Comes out about 1000miles- more than some peoples cars!
