registered and 1st drive on the road

Praise due for Trafford DVLA. Forms in on Friday, inspection on Tuesday, documents & tax received Friday. After some of the horror stories i've read on here I was well pleased to say the least. Only drove about 15 miles tonight, takes some getting used to, i think that I need to prune my aero screen down a couple of inches, i'm only a short arse and vision was a little restricted, has anyone else had to trim theres.

Nice looking car I'm liking the caged look more and more.

Enjoy driving and keep it steady for a while.

One tip...watch parking half on the kerb when you pull away. It's quite easy to snag your silencer on the kerb (guess how I know that)

Congrats on your first drive.

Regarding the screen trimming: Im shortish as well and have trouble looking over the bubble screen. Is your drivers seat on runners? If not that will raise your seat up so get some fitted.

Also while driving next time put your hand in front of your face, touching your forehead, palm forward. This will hemp you feel the aero working and gauge how low you are sitting out of the wind. What you could do then is raise your self up with a cushion so the wind hits just above your eye brows, thats what I did. My visibility is not perfect but better. When I wear a crash helmet and drive fast I raise myself up even further to aid my view.

I would recommend not trimming, I know I would not be able to get a good finish I was happy with. Alternativly you could fit a clear perspex bit instead of the second screen.

Hope that helps

I'm only 5'8 and even on runners I needed to shim my seat up by about an inch 1/2 to get to a point where I wasn't constantly trying to sit up straighter to see over the aero screen, particularly on the brow of hills. Bi22le is spot on with his advice.

Nice one...and about time! What took you so long to get the forms in? What time were you out and about?

I'll be out in the Fury this Sat afternoon if you fancy a blat. I'm also going down to Stafford show in the Fury on the 19th if you fancy a longer run.
