Bike engined car
Hello, I have Indy with Fireblade (sc28) engine, and wanted to ask when you change gears is it smooth or you can hear some noises coming from car?
I think its from the differential.

They clank and bang loudly unless you match the revs.
When changing up go clutchless, off the gas and pull back, clutch for going down.
If the mixtures are off slightly it will also clank and rattle when cruising, on a bike you have rubber cushioned drives etc, its all a bit harsher
when in the car.
A TRT prop will help, I stripped my diff and tightened the mesh on crown wheel to pinion which helped a lot to stop the noise.

they do make a racket! My bec use to bang, rattle and make all sorts of clunking noises.
Personally i only clutchless up shifted when driving fast. The box needs to feel a definate release in torque to change with out a clutch. If you do
that while driving slowly in town it with just slam the gears together and cause damage.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Technically speaking for dog boxes (ie bike boxes) there is no real gain to using a clutch, especially on up shifts. It can in fact just cause wear
unnecessarily on the clutch and dogs. Useful link here:
