mk hubs - mounting on mk chassis

Hi guys,

I'm getting pretty fed up today.. its all going wrong.

sierra front hubs (vented disc)

This is the part I have:

but the one i have doesnt fit my hubs (sierra hubs)

the hub slots into it but the spline is too big!

thanks!

you mean the taper

I think you need to ream out teh sierra hubs (I'm not an expert on this though, you don't need to on a dax....)

Yep the hubs need reaming out, this should be be done by mk when you buy the kit. Give them a ring.

If you want to do them your self then you can buy the ream from axminster for a few quid.

Note its easy to do this of center and easy to go to deep. But its not hard even by hand and takes about 20min per side.

That sounds feasible but I'll need to source a new set as the ones I have are split.

Looks like you have may have escort ones instead of sierra the sierra ones are not split for the bottom ball joint
and it needs to be reamed out slightly to fit the maxi bottom ball joint

I can ream out the hubs, no problem.

Where can I buy a replacement set of these ball joints to fit on my car?
