New pics MK-GTR for Donington

There are some new pics on the website, taken last night, of the GTR in it's new colours getting ready for Donington.

There are still the lights to go in and MK stickers etc to go on but it looks nice.

The car is to be taken on the track and prospective purchasers able to have 3 laps of track as passenger.

Web pages will be changed later but for now just the pics on GTR page at http://home.btconnect.com/Domsat/gtr.htm

Just had alook - looks well.

The split between yellow/blue could do with a definative split in say: black.

IMHO

Pics were taken on a Nokia phone camera.
All I had at time.

They've not come out to bad really, considering the light level etc.

Martin was looking at silver pinstripes when I left.

There are blue MK logo stickers to go on side pods, wing etc.

The mk website will be changed to it's own domain shortly.

To access it direct use this link, that way no UK2 banners or name server redirection.

I think Martin now reckons it should have been blue and silver.

After a while stood looking at it the colour scheme grows on you.

Adding all the decals, lights etc should change its looks. Especially the headlights.

My first impression was of an out and out racer rather than a road car.

It drives so well, Martins wife drove it easily. True gearbox and car engine makes all the difference for driving it.
Plans are later to add a more powerful engine.

The brakes are going to be disconnected for Donington, just to make sure it doesn't slow down for corners

The colour scheme. Rob and Ned are right though, add a few details and it should transform the car.

Looks much better with stickers and lights fitted.
I wasn't too keen on the colours myself but after it was decalled up it looks the dogs watsits now.
Just left Martins at 8.30 after helping to finally sort out a few last minute gremlins, and had the pleasure of doing a few miles in her, handles very, very nice, very neutral and not harsh either and very forgiving with no scuttle or bodyshake at all

This could be a good time to apply for planning on the garage extension
It would look very nice sat next to my Indy!!!!!

Once I've finished a project why do I start another?

Sorry, but I still think there is a clash between the airbox and the roll bar, otherwise it looks good. Would benefit from a faired in bar, and why not have an offset airbox to cover what I presume is the air filter/intake. All in my own opinion of course.

I've posted new pics from Donington showing car in full livery. Replaced original pics.

Martin probably decided to let it go as he received an offer he was happy with.
