exhaust / induction help

Guys

Maybe someone can help......

A mate and I purchased an Indybird and understand from the factory that the manifold is not from MK as it ends with a 3 bolt flange (triangle arrangement) which i think might not be Honda.

We have two silencers but neither have passed nosie tests at track days. MK have told me to contact the guys who make their silencers and they have recommended a 6" silencer as long as we can make it.

Before I go and spend £200 (ouch) does anyone use a similar set up on their car and what noise levels could we expect.

They also thought that we may still have problems becuse of induction noise - we have a pipercross filter coming through the hood. We were thinking of a boner scoop to shield some of the noise during the noise test at quiet tracks

Ive attached a link to the gallery which shows the current set up click here

Any help welcome

cheers

scott

if its a 3 bolt flange it could well be a blade can, what i would do is take your can off, put it under your arm and go to a bike breakers with it, check see what fitting it is and buy a std road can for that bike, i'm running a bird engine and to get by noise regs have just fitted a std can, cost me £10 second hand from local bike breakers.
