i seem to remember reading on MK's site that someone once fitted a rover v8 lump in one.
with the exception of a proper exhaust note i can't see what you would be gaining going from a blackbird engine to a heavy old V8
built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.

There is an issue with the bellhousing/gearbox tunnel spacing, as in theres very little. Check with MK on this.

Thanks for the info. I no what your saying about the weight thing but, rover V8 is not much heavier than a standard pinto lump so i belive, obviously
gear box is more though. the engine i have got has been tuned approx 280hp so should be quicker than the blackbird def loads more torque. i will be
selling the blackbird engine along with all the bits that go with it . exhaust ,reverse box ,everything! someone who wants a bike powerd car will be
able to drop it straight in as complete unit.

mmm agree with everything you say.
Thought about selling but i realy like the car and the way it looks so going to keep it.
There will probably be quite a lot of modifying needed but we looked measured and come to the assumption it can be done . i have a mate who has just
fitted a v8 to a tiger 6 when tiger said it couldnt be done. so based on that we have learned how we can squeeze it in by making a few mods here and
there. like you say its the bell housing thats the main problem . will make and weld customised engine and gear box mountings like we have on the
tiger.
the bike engine is great but as you may agree its more of a track car and engine, and not realy that good for a sunday cruise, bang crash wollop is
more the case. great fun but tiersome to drive . whereas the v8 will be nicer to drive not as nimble but with 280BHP be plenty quick enough for me.
Plus that sound!! cant beat the sound of a v8.
will be converting next month . when its done can let you no what its like and show you some pics if you want.
