Sierra Indy Starter Kit
I'm currently stripping my 1989 Sierra 2.0i pinto and need a bit of help on what to keep/bin.
I intending to go for the MK Indy starter pack1 to get me on the way, but won't be buying for a few months yet (drivetrain rebuild first). None
the less, does anyone know if a modified efi manifold will fit under the bonet provided in the pack and also, it lists rear uprights as either drum or
disk, so am I correcting in thinking that I can simply opt for the bits to keep the disks/hubs that I have on my donor?
Help would be appreciated as I would like to use as much of my donor as possible and keep it cheap and simple.

Hi, If the sierra donor you have has rear disks, they will fit on an indy chassis, but you have to specify when you order that you wish to use disks.

The efi unit off of the Sierra will not fit under the Indy bonnet unless it is modified. If you modify the efi manifold it will indeed fit under the
bonnet, but their isn't a lot of room. Check out my picture archive, there is a picture of my engine in situ. The oil filler cap just fits
under the bonnet and the efi is lower than that
Hope that helps.

looking beyond the EFi...
keep everything you can find room for!
You will be surprised what you can find uses for later. I have used the towing eye bracing for several parts, stripped wires and plugs from the loom,
I even hacksawed off the body bracket with the 2 studs to locate the steering column! - oh and have found uses for the folding rear seat remote
release mechanism and central locking motors!
Also, Items like headlights and radiators can always be flogged on eBay for a few quid....
