headlight bar

Ive fittend my headlight bar over the weekend in the correct place above suspension

lined it up and am using the 5 and 3/4 inch carbon fibre lights from SVC

problem is theres hardly any gap inbetween the light and nosecone probably a few mm

is this right

The headlight bar shown is not standard MK so it may not be relevant (not obvious though snoopy). I made it from 1" section with 2 pieces of 25x3mm flat welded top and bottom and clamped to the chassis rail by an M8 on the inside.

It was in the early days and I was after a way of doing it that mean't that the nosecone didn't need modifying. The 3mm thickness on the top gets taken up with the fiberglass side panel.

BTW I've since removed the duck tape so it fires on all 4 and the lawn mower is still going strong

thanks for the pics but my headlight bar is loads shorter apparently its a new design

no mate because it already has the hols which line up with the chassis

I know I could drill others but it still looks ok

so ill see how it goes

didn't realise they came pre drilled, i had to guess my own when i built mine, think mine sits slightly in front of the suspension
