Developments @ MK Sportcars??

Just been thinking... as an ex-MK owner, is there anything new being done at MK? I know Martin at MKE has s a new 7 under development, but I wondered if the Indy was being developed at all?

It's just that MAC#1 have introduced the Worx, MNR seem to be constanly developing new stuff but I don't see anything new from MK.

Steady is good of course, but is anything in the pipeline? For example, are there any plans to do away with the daft square to round-edge join where back panel meets side?

About the only 'new' things I've seen are the custom one-off stuff done for Mr Mason and the nice roll-bar with side intrusion bars produced for the ON TRACK Motorsport cars.

I'm not having a go, I just think it'd be nice to see some improvements....

I agree Tim! I know the lads at MK are incredibly busy and its easy for us to sit on the sidelines talking of improvements; and undoubtedly the whole indy package is good value, but one thing for sure is that as a product manufacturer you must innovate or die!! Keeping ahead of the competition, offering something different that will just sway the choice between one kit and another.

Having said that I know the lads are trying some different things out with the chassis and it looks quite interesting, but its not for me to divulge the particulars!!

While I agree with tim' s developement ideas, There are people on here who will remember that most of the companies now developing the cars did no more than buy an MK chassis and build a jig from it and then sell the cars as there own ideas. I even remember one company who fitted the top wishbone upside down when they launched the car at I think Stafford, claimed it improved handling,, Am I right or not
