Which Kit Review
I normally avoid the kitcar mags like the plague due to the terrible quality of writing but picked up this months Which Kit as they have a review of
the new MK.
Has anyone else seen it? Is the inboard suspension that much better? What other advantages does the car have?

I know I could go and test drive I was just wondering if anyone could do a better job than which kit of articulating the benefits without me having
the schlep over to MK.

Accoriding to one of the other traders at Donnington the inboard suspension is much better for track days. It holds the road better. I suspect it
works the shock absorbers much more like a motorcycle swing arm linkage so you have a, IIRC, rising rate suspension due to the linkage.
The guy at the stall I spoke to said its much better for racing and occasional track days. You would get some improvement on the road but for normal
road use its not a "must have".

I guess maybe you could use softer springs then?

Inboard suspension, as with inboard brakes, cut down on unsprung weight. Which should give better road holding, nice, but not essential on a road car.
IMHO. Ray.

Looks like we share the same opinion of kit car mags.

Hi there
I had a look at the chassis a few months ago at MK. Yes it is completely different with much more triangulation.
The inboard suspension can offer advatages, as you can build in rising rates for the suspension.
I've got to say it looked good, though I was not so fond of the pushrods in front of the wishbones. I'm also not sure how much the
suspension geometry has been worked on or whether it remains similar to the original MK Indy chassis.
All that said, if I was buing a new chassis, I think I could be tempted with the new one!
