Alfa 75 as donor car for a MK-Indy!?
A friend of mine wants to use a Alfa 75 as donor car or only the engine and transmision for a MK-Indy. Is there someone who already did (tried) this.

the gearbox is a transaxle so no good for a 7 type car,like all (most) alfa,s tho the engine is a peach,someone on here mated a V6 alfa to a type 9 i
believe?

Hello Conrodkid, can you explain to me why the transaxle is no good for a 7? The weight of the gearbox at the end of the car should be an advantage!

The weight is a good thing. The space to put the transaxle means that the occupants have to sit under the bonnet or up in the sky above the gearbox!
Thats no so good.
However....
And don't discount the Twink engine either!

I love Alfas and the twin spark is a good motor, however is it worth the effort compared to a Zetec?

My 2ltr 156ts has only glugged about 500mls in the past 5000 miles. Which is very odd considering it leaves a oily patch wherever it's parked. I
could fix the sump joint but then I'd forget to check the oil.....

My friend is sure that he can do it. He wants to rebuild the MK-chassis to fit the Alfa rear axle and gearbox. He is the owner of a car repear shop
and has all the stuff to build or rebuild a car. That makes things easier. There will be a website to show the progress. See you then. it is shown on:
